We ask all new members to carefully read the following document before becoming members of the farmstand.
Full Size Customizable Weekly Order (approximately $30 / Week) The Full Size Order gives you a weekly variety box of seasonal veggies, herbs and fruit, grown primarily in the Ojai Valley. This is a great option for a family, or group of 3+ people. This order is fully customizable, so you are able to add and remove items from your box. An initial selection of approximately $30 worth of produce is made for you each week and placed in your shopping cart. If you do not modify the order, this is what you will receive and be charged for. If you do modify the order, you will be charged according to the amount of produce ordered. If you order only $10 worth, that is the amount you will be charged. If you add extra items, you will be charged for each item added. There is also an option to receive this order every other week.
Half Size Customizable Weekly Order (approximately $15 / Week) The Half Size Order is exactly the same as the Full Size, except the default order is approximately $15 instead of $30. This option is great for a single person or couple.
Webstore Access Share The “Webstore Access Share” simply gives you access to our online farmer's market, without the default weekly order being placed in your shopping cart each week. So, if you forget to place an order, you are not charged anything, and do not receive anything.
Payments: We use an web-based software program called Farmigo to process payment. With Farmigo, you have online access to your own account. We accept Paypal, credit card, cash or check.
All checks must be made out to "Max Becher," not to Ojai Farmstand.
If you don't want to put down money upfront toward future orders, the "Debit on Delivery" option allows you to use your paypal account to automatically charge you the evening of each order delivered.
Autopay Option: We encourage all of our customers to sign up for automatic payment options that will pay your account in a timely fashion so that you never have a negative balance. This is not required though.
Manual Payment: If you prefer, you will still have the option to make renewal payments manually. If you choose this option, you will receive an email letting you know when it’s time to renew your balance.
Items Sold by Weight: For certain items that are sold by weight, due to their irregular sizes, the weight units per item in the webstore are approximate only. When we fill each order, we come as close as possible to the weight requested by the customer. Sometimes it is more, sometimes less, so if you order over a period of time, it all balances out.
Communication: By agreeing to join, you are also agreeing to open and read email communications from us including:
Payment due emails: All billing issues regarding your account will be emailed to you, including start ups and notice of suspension of service.
Other: You may also receive specific emails announcing important changes to our service. Please read our emails as soon as you see them. Please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book to protect our communications from spam filters
Referral Credit and Vacations: If you can’t pick up your box on a given week, why not tell a friend to pick up your box while you’re gone? If they sign up with us, we will give you a referral credit for the amount of the share your friend subscribes to. If you don't want to offer it to a friend, simply log in to your account and set a delivery hold. You will not be charged for the weeks you don't receive a delivery, and you can place a hold as often as you need to.
Order Pickup Requirements: If you pick up your box, rather than having it delivered, please observe the following rules.
Don’t take a box if one doesn’t have your name on it. All boxes are labeled; if there isn’t one there for you, there’s probably a reason why. If you have someone pickup for you, do not forget to inform them of this policy.
Do not look through other peoples boxes.
Return the empty crate each week. Please do not keep a back-log of crates at home – return the empty one every time you pick up a full one. Your account can be charged $10 each time a crate is not returned, or returned broken.
If you receive home delivery, the empty crate must be on your doorstep, or in a similar obvious location the morning of your delivery day.
Late pick-ups are not eligible for any credit refund, due to natural deterioration of fresh produce. Lots of things can happen to boxes if you miss your pickup, so we don’t credit for any of them.
Suspension of service: If your account balance falls negative, you will receive an email asking you to make a payment. If you do not make a payment, we will do everything we can to get in touch with you before placing your account on hold. Please make an effort to keep your account current. The easiest way to do this is sign up for automatic payments, or "Debit on Delivery."
If your membership becomes inactive, your balance may be refunded and the account closed after a few months. Restarting is as easy as joining, just follow the same link.
